UFC Fighter Jon Jones Suspended Indefinitely & Stripped Of His Title Following Arrest

UFC fighter Jon Jones was recently arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury. Why yes, that IS a felony.

Well, since then the UFC has made some pretty big, and definitive decisions regarding Jon Jones’ past and future involvement.

As a result of his arrest, after he allegedly ran a red light AND hit a car that had a pregnant woman inside AND left the scene AND had pot in his rental car — all totally messed up, I know — he’s been suspended indefinitely and stripped of his title.

In addition, Reebok has since terminated its contract with Jon.

So, if you were looking forward to him fighting number one ranked Anthony Johnson in the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship on May 23rd, know that Anthony will be going to head-to-head, foot-to-face, punch-to-kidney against the number three contender Daniel Cormier instead.

The UFC has stated that its decision was made to allow Jon the time to focus on his legal matters.

What was Jon’s response to all this?
